Last updated: October 14, 2026

The short version

1. Information We Collect

2. Information That Never Leaves Your Device

3. How We Use Your Information

4. Who Can See Your Photo

Only users who have accepted a friend invite with you. They can see your photo only while you have a failed focus session that you haven't hidden, through a link that expires after a short time. If you remove or block someone, they lose access immediately. We do not publish your photo anywhere.

5. Service Providers

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We use the following providers to run the app, and they process data only on our behalf:

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of our users.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

We keep your information only for as long as your account exists, except reports, which we may keep for a limited time to prevent abuse.

7. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, or to object to how we use it. You can do most of this in the app. For anything else, email us and we will respond within 30 days.

8. Children

Blackmail is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access to photos is limited to accepted friends through short-lived links, and requests are verified with App Attest. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.

10. Changes

If we make material changes to this policy we will update the date above and let you know in the app.
